Belize to sizzle in sunshine with a splash of showers

Sunny skies dominate, but Belize’s south may see morning showers

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service is forecasting a bright and sunny Tuesday for most of Belize, with only a slight chance of isolated showers. However, residents in the southern part of the country should be prepared for a few showers or even isolated thunderstorms late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Boaters and beachgoers should be aware of moderate to rough seas with waves reaching 4-7 feet, driven by easterly to southeasterly winds blowing at 10-20 knots with gusts.

Temperatures will be typical for this time of year, with coastal areas reaching highs of 89°F and lows of 83°F. Inland residents can expect slightly hotter conditions, with highs reaching 94°F and lows of 74°F. The hills will offer a cooler respite with temperatures ranging from 81°F to 68°F.

Good news for those worried about tropical storms – the National Meteorological Service says there is no tropical cyclone formation expected in our region within the next 48 hours.

Looking ahead to Tuesday night and Wednesday, we can expect generally fair conditions with only isolated shower activity.

Today’s high tides will occur at 11:04 AM and 12:16 AM tomorrow, while low tides will be at 6:14 PM today and 5:46 AM tomorrow.

If you’re catching the sunset today, it will be at 6:29 PM. Sunrise tomorrow will be at 5:29 AM.
