By Belize Live News Staff: Residents of Silk Grass Village are giving police a thumbs up.
During a community meet and greet on Friday, officers from the Hopkins and Silk Grass police stations visited homes and businesses in the northern part of the village to check in with residents.
The feedback was positive. Residents told officers they appreciate the regular patrols in their area and how quickly police respond when called.
The visit was led by Inspector D. Augustine, Officer in Charge of Hopkins, along with community policing and investigative officers.
Meet and greet sessions like this are part of efforts to build trust between police and the communities they serve, giving residents a chance to share concerns and get to know the officers who patrol their neighbourhoods.
Residents with information or concerns can contact the Hopkins or Silk Grass Police.
