By Belize Live News Staff: What was meant to be a quiet supper ended with three people injured in Trial Farm Village.
A 26 year old woman told police her former common law husband showed up at her home on Saturday and flew into a rage when he found a male friend she had invited over.
According to the report, he accused the pair of having an affair and lunged at the friend. During the struggle, he allegedly switched what appeared to be a broken glass from one hand to the other and cut the 21 year old on the face and abdomen.
He then allegedly dragged the woman into her room and punched her in the face.
When a 16 year old girl living at the home tried to calm things down, she was allegedly punched in the face and in the lower abdomen, where she had recently undergone surgery.
Doctors certified the woman’s and the friend’s injuries as wounding, and the teen’s as harm.
A 20 year old laborer has been detained pending charges, and police are investigating.
