By Belize Live News Staff: Northern and inland Belize could see another round of showers, rain and thunderstorms today as moist and unstable weather remains over the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service, Sunday will feature a mixture of sunshine and cloudy spells.
A few showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms are likely to affect northern and inland areas during the day.
By tonight, the focus of the rainfall is expected to move mainly toward southern and coastal communities.
Daytime temperatures will reach 91 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 88 degrees along the coast and 81 degrees in the hills.
Boaters are also being urged to exercise caution.
A small craft caution is in effect because winds could become gusty near heavy showers and thunderstorms, resulting in locally rough seas.
Waves are forecast to reach between three and five feet.
Monday will bring another chance of showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms, especially across northern Belize, before conditions begin improving.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
