By Belize Live News Staff: A few showers and thunderstorms could develop over inland Belize this afternoon as relatively moist and somewhat unstable weather continues.
According to the National Meteorological Service, Friday will begin mostly sunny with a few cloudy spells.
Showers and thunderstorms will generally be isolated across the country before activity increases somewhat over inland areas during the afternoon and evening.
By tonight and Saturday morning, the focus for showers and isolated thunderstorms will shift mainly toward coastal areas.
It will also be another hot day.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, 89 degrees along the coast and 82 degrees in the hills.
Boaters can expect choppy seas, with waves of three to five feet and east to southeast winds of 10 to 15 knots.
Saturday will remain somewhat unsettled, with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms possible during the morning and nighttime and over inland areas during the afternoon and evening.
There are currently no immediate tropical threats to Belize, with no tropical cyclone formation expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
