By Belize Live News Staff: The Chiquibul National Park is about to gain three new protectors.
Three recruits have passed their field test with Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD), proving themselves in patrolling, navigation, jungle survival, casualty evacuation, and jungle health and hygiene.
FCD says it looks for stamina, discipline, eagerness to conserve nature and interest in a ranger career when evaluating recruits.
The three are expected to join the Ranger Unit within the next few weeks, strengthening efforts to protect one of Belize’s most important forest reserves.
