By Belize Live News Staff: Residents of northern Belize could see a few more showers and thunderstorms today as relatively moist and somewhat unstable weather continues.
According to the National Meteorological Service, showers and thunderstorms will generally be isolated across the country.
However, there is a medium chance of increased activity over northern areas late this morning.
By this afternoon, the focus for showers and thunderstorms is expected to shift mainly inland and around the Maya Mountains.
Despite the possibility of rain, much of Tuesday will feature sunny skies mixed with cloudy spells.
It will also be another hot day, particularly inland, where temperatures are forecast to reach 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
Coastal communities can expect highs near 89 degrees, while temperatures in the hills will reach around 82 degrees.
Wednesday could bring a slight increase in showers and thunderstorms, particularly across northern and central Belize, before activity decreases later in the evening or at night.
In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Fay and Tropical Storm Hanna remain far from Belize.
The National Meteorological Service says neither system poses a threat to the country.
