By Belize Live News Staff: An early morning police patrol in Bella Vista Village led to the detention of a 39 year old woman after officers allegedly discovered a pipe concealed in her undergarment.
Police say officers were patrolling the village at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday when they noticed a woman riding a bicycle.
According to the police report, officers became suspicious of her behaviour and conducted a search.
Police allege that a silver coloured pipe was discovered concealed inside her bra.
The woman was subsequently cautioned and escorted to the Bella Vista Police Sub Station.
She was identified as Ivis Marleny Reyes, a labourer of Bella Vista Village.
Police say she was informed of her rights while in custody.
Charges for possession of a pipe were pending at the time of the police report.
