Police say Quick Response Team personnel searched a bushy area shortly after midnight and discovered several plastic bags containing suspected drugs.

Among the items reportedly found were two small transparent bags containing white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, another bag containing 18 smaller ziplock bags with skull markings, and four additional bags containing white buffy substances suspected to be crack cocaine.

At the Orange Walk Police Station, police say the suspected cocaine weighed 17.1 grams and 6.9 grams, while the suspected crack cocaine weighed 16.4 grams.

No one was in the immediate area when the drugs were found.

The substances were sealed, labelled and deposited as found property.
