By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a man in Orange Walk Town early Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as Jose Luis Sosa, better known as “Bones.”
Preliminary information indicates that Sosa was shot sometime during the early morning hours. Reports of gunfire began circulating before 5:00 a.m., followed by information that a man had been shot.
Sosa was later identified as the victim and has since been confirmed dead.
Details surrounding the killing remain limited, and authorities have not yet released an official account outlining what happened.
It is also not yet known what may have motivated the shooting or whether police have identified any suspects.
Investigators are expected to release additional information as they continue gathering evidence surrounding Sosa’s death.
