By Belize Live News Staff: Belize can expect a mix of sunshine, clouds and a few showers today as a moderate, moist and somewhat unstable easterly airflow continues across the country.
The National Meteorological Service says a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop mainly along coastal areas this morning before gradually decreasing later in the day.
Temperatures will remain warm, with highs of 89°F along the coast, 94°F inland and 82°F in the hills.
Tonight, skies will become cloudy at times, with a few outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms expected to redevelop mainly over southern and some coastal areas.
Marine conditions will be choppy, with easterly winds of 10 to 20 knots and waves ranging from 3 to 5 feet.
The outlook for Sunday and Sunday night calls for generally fair weather with only isolated showers or thunderstorms. Southern Belize could see a few more showers early in the morning.
Forecasters say tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
