By Belize Live News Staff: Belize gets an easy Monday.
The National Meteorological Service says fair, warm and mostly dry weather is in place, with mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers will be isolated.
Conditions on the water are about as good as they get. Easterly winds at 5 to 15 knots, slight seas, and waves of just 1 to 3 feet.
It stays hot on land. Inland areas reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit, the coast hits 90 and even the hills climb to 83.
Tuesday looks the same.
In the tropics, forecasters are watching a low pressure area over the northern Gulf with a high chance of developing into a short lived depression or storm. It is heading toward the upper Texas or southwestern Louisiana coast and poses no threat to Belize.
We are heading into September, historically the busiest month of the hurricane season, so keep an eye on the updates.
