By Belize Live News Staff: The opposition United Democratic Party has lost two senior executives in the past two weeks, with municipal elections just eight months away.
Juliet Thimbriel resigned as national campaign manager late last week. She says there are no hard feelings.
7 News reports that sources indicated she was not being consulted by Party Chairlady Sheena Pitts on the vetting of candidates for the municipal race.
Thimbriel is expected back on Wave Radio and TV this Friday.
Audrey Wallace, chairman of the party’s public relations committee, has also stepped down. Reports point to the party struggling to find funds for advertising.
Both roles are central to an election campaign, one coordinating the ground effort and the other shaping the party’s public image.
The UDP hosts a press conference tomorrow, where the departures are expected to come up.
