Belize City family devastated by fire; Community rallies to help

By Belize Live News Staff: A family in Belize City is in desperate need of assistance after a devastating fire destroyed their home and all their belongings. KJ Trujeque, a family member, has made a heartfelt plea on social media for donations of clothing, household items, and monetary support.

The fire, which occurred on Wednesday, left the babysitter and her three young children, ages 1, 4, and 6, with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Trujeque is urging the community to come together and help her family in their time of need.

Trujeque is coordinating the collection of donations and can arrange for pick-ups within Belize City. She emphasized that even small contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of her family.

“Every little bit helps,” she said. “Whether it’s a bag of clothes, a few dollars, or a hot meal, your generosity will make a world of difference to this family.”

The community has already begun to respond to Trujeque’s call for help, with many offering their support and prayers.

Those wishing to help can contact KJ Trujeque directly through private message on social media.
