Belize set for a dry, warm start to the weekend

By Belize Live News Staff: If you’re planning to head to the beach, visit family, or spend time outdoors this weekend, the weather appears to be on your side.

Forecasters are predicting another day of warm temperatures and mostly sunny conditions across Belize, with only a few isolated showers expected in some areas.

The latest forecast indicates that a dry and stable weather pattern continues to dominate the country, helping to keep widespread rainfall at bay.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, while inland communities could see highs of up to 96 degrees. Residents in the hills will experience slightly cooler weather.

The forecast is good news for tourism operators, vendors, and businesses that rely on outdoor activities, especially as many Belizeans look forward to enjoying the weekend with family and friends.

While most of the country should remain dry, forecasters say a few isolated showers or thunderstorms could develop over southern Belize later tonight and into early Sunday.

There is also a slight increase in moisture expected along parts of the coastline on Sunday morning, but no significant rainfall event is currently anticipated.

Meanwhile, the tropics remain quiet, with no tropical cyclone development expected in the region during the next two days.

For now, Belizeans can expect sunshine, warm temperatures, and generally favorable conditions for most outdoor plans.

As always, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, particularly during the hottest part of the afternoon when temperatures inland could approach the upper 90s.
