By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk have arrested and charged a man after a domestic dispute reportedly turned violent in Trial Farm Village.
Authorities say a construction worker reported that his older brother became aggressive during an argument at their family home and allegedly armed himself with a machete.
The complainant told police the accused stood in front of him for several minutes while holding the weapon in a threatening manner, causing him to fear for his life.
Police later retrieved the machete and detained 35-year-old Amir Reynaldo Cal, who has since been charged with aggravated assault.
The matter is now before the court.
