By Belize Live News Staff: A 51-year-old farmer has been charged following the discovery of a suspected cannabis plant during a police search in the London Area along the Old Northern Highway.
Police say that while executing a search warrant, officers found a single plant believed to be cannabis in the yard.
The plant was seized, and the suspect was detained, cautioned, and taken to the station.
He has since been formally charged with cultivation of a controlled drug.
