By Belize Live News Staff: A 51-year-old woman from San Jose Village, Orange Walk District, reported being injured during a domestic dispute involving her son.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the early morning hours when her son arrived home and began behaving disorderly.
The situation escalated into a confrontation, during which the woman was injured after her earring was forcibly pulled, causing a cut wound.
A neighbour later intervened, and the individual left the scene.
Police recorded a statement, and the injury was certified as wounding. The 30-year-old suspect has since been detained as investigations continue.
