Trial Farm man discovers his own grandson allegedly burglarizing his home

By Belize Live News Staff: What started as an ordinary Saturday morning quickly turned into a shocking moment for a Trial Farm resident.

A 65 year old man says he was at home watching television when he heard suspicious noises coming from the back of his house. When he checked, he saw someone leaving his garage with an item in hand.

But what happened next was even more unexpected.

The homeowner moved quickly to the front of his home and came face to face with the person, who turned out to be his grandson.

The individual reportedly dropped a roll of electrical wire and ran from the property, jumping over a fence to escape.

While the stolen item was recovered and no damage was reported, the incident has raised concern within the household.

Police have since recorded statements and investigations are ongoing.
