Two detained after $6,000 burglary in Guinea Grass Village

By Belize Live News Staff:  A burglary at an unfinished home in Guinea Grass Village has led to the detention of two suspects and the recovery of stolen property.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday morning, April 19, 2026, at a property located in the Felix Estate area. The owner reported that upon visiting the house, he noticed signs of unauthorized entry and discovered that several valuable items were missing.

The stolen property, which included solar batteries, power tools, and equipment, was estimated at over $6,000.

Following investigations, police detained two individuals from the village pending charges related to theft and burglary. The items reported stolen have since been recovered.

Police say the investigation remains active as they continue to process the case.
