By Belize Live News Staff: A routine police operation in Orange Walk Town led to the discovery of suspected cannabis on Monday night.
Reports indicate that around 10:45 p.m. on April 14, 2026, the Orange Walk Quick Response Team carried out a search of an empty lot along Boundary Road.
During the operation, an officer noticed a yellow plastic bag. Upon retrieving and examining the bag, authorities observed what appeared to be a quantity of green leafy substance suspected to be cannabis.
Despite the find, no persons were located in the vicinity, and no arrests were made.
The item has since been processed and classified as found property pending further investigation.
