Stolen Cuban link jewellery found concealed in ramen pack and deodorant bottle

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have recovered stolen jewellery hidden in an abandoned lot following a recent robbery investigation in Belize City.

Acting on information received, officers from Precinct 1 CIB, along with relief personnel, conducted a search on Armadillo Street where they discovered the items concealed in unusual places.

During the search, police found a ramen pack behind a fence containing a Cuban link gold chain with a “Y” pendant. Further inspection of the area led to the discovery of another Cuban link chain with a gold cross pendant, which had been hidden inside a deodorant container.

No one was found in the immediate area at the time of the search.

The recovered items were processed by Scenes of Crime personnel and later positively identified by the complainant as the jewellery stolen during the robbery.

Police have since secured the items as evidence as investigations continue. One suspect has been identified, but no arrests have been made so far.

Authorities say efforts are ongoing to locate those responsible.
