Shyne says his story is far from over despite Mesopotamia seat was “stolen”

By Belize Live News Staff: It’s been one year since Shyne Barrow lost his Mesopotamia seat, and he’s not holding back.

In a reflective post, the former Opposition Leader claimed that fraud by members within the UDP led to his defeat, saying he never expected to lose the seat despite internal political tensions.

“I was devastated, but determined,” Shyne said.

Instead of stepping away, he returned to Mesopotamia the very next day, continuing to engage with residents and serve the constituency he says he was born to represent.

At the same time, Shyne pivoted back into the private sector, focusing on entertainment, tourism, and real estate.

Now, he’s hinting at unfinished business in politics.

“Return to Parliament loading,” he stated.

One thing is clear—Shyne says “his story is far from over”.
