Woman wounded in violent domestic dispute in Guinea Grass

By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk are investigating a violent domestic dispute that left a woman injured in Guinea Grass Village.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 24, around 6:15 p.m., when an argument between the woman and her common-law husband reportedly escalated after he checked her cell phone and questioned her about a conversation.

Authorities say the situation turned physical, with the man allegedly punching her in the face and causing injuries that affected her breathing. Her cell phone was also damaged during the altercation.

The woman reported receiving serious death threats during the incident.

The suspect reportedly fled the area on a motorcycle, taking their one-year-old child with him.

A medical examination later classified her injuries as wounding.
