By Belize Live News Staff: A well-known Belizean DJ has been charged in connection with the theft of over $32,000 and has since been granted bail following his arraignment.
Police say the 31-year-old entertainer was initially listed as wanted for questioning before being formally arrested and charged on March 8. The charge stems from a complaint made by a local company regarding alleged financial discrepancies.
Reports indicate that the matter was first brought forward in February, with claims that additional sums were requested beyond what was agreed upon.
Following his detention over the long weekend, the accused was taken to court in Benque Viejo, where he was granted bail.
The accused has denied wrongdoing, stating that the issue is a misunderstanding and has reportedly expressed willingness to resolve the matter. Investigations continue.
