Businesswoman charged after cocaine allegedly found during search

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have formally charged Nigera Rhaburn, a 48-year-old businesswoman of Carmelita Village, Orange Walk District, following a drug discovery at her residence.

According to police, Rhaburn was charged on March 14, 2026 for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, relating to 1.35 grams of cocaine allegedly found during the search.

Police also discovered an additional 0.10 grams of suspected cocaine inside the residence.

As a result, Nigera Rhaburn and her husband, Eustace Rhaburn, were jointly charged with possession of a controlled drug in relation to that quantity.

The matter is expected to proceed before the court.
