By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect cool and relatively dry weather conditions to continue today as a northerly airflow keeps temperatures mild and rainfall limited across most areas.
According to the Morning Forecast issued January 29, 2026 at 6:00 a.m., skies will be variably cloudy with little to no rainfall expected over most places. Forecasters say periods of rain or a few showers will linger mainly offshore this morning, then shift later today to affect some southern coastal areas.
Marine conditions will remain moderate to rough, with north to northeast winds blowing at 10 to 20 knots and seas ranging from 5 to 7 feet. A Small Craft Caution remains in effect as occasionally gusty winds and locally rough seas are expected, particularly in large north to northeast swells beyond the reef. Operators of small crafts are advised to exercise caution while at sea.
Temperatures will remain cool and comfortable across the country, with coastal areas reaching highs near 79 degrees Fahrenheit and lows around 68 degrees. Inland areas will see highs around 82 degrees and lows near 63 degrees, while the hills will be cooler with highs near 70 degrees and lows around 58 degrees.
Looking ahead, Friday and Friday night are expected to remain variably cloudy and cool. Periods of rain or a few showers may develop mainly over southern areas during the daytime before decreasing later, while little to no rain is expected elsewhere. The forecast was prepared by forecaster Crystal Rosalez.
