Burglars break into Home Protectors Insurance office

By  Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a burglary reported at the Home Protectors Insurance building located at #3808 Dungeon Drive.

According to police reports, at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, information was received from the Belize City Control Room regarding a burglary at the business establishment. As a result, North Side Crimes Investigation Branch personnel visited the location to conduct investigations.

Upon arrival, police met a 42-year-old Belizean general manager of the company, who reported that on Monday, January 19, 2026, around 6:18 p.m., he had properly secured the building after concluding a meeting. However, on Tuesday morning at about 7:45 a.m., an employee discovered signs of a break-in.

The employee reported that her office had been ransacked. Further checks revealed that a window and burglary bars inside the conference room, located at the eastern portion of the building, were damaged.

At this time, the exact items stolen remain unknown, as the management is reviewing the company’s inventory to determine what is missing.
