Man found stabbed to death in Ladyville parking lot

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a murder following the discovery of a man’s body in a parking lot near New Moon Supermarket in Ladyville Village on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, officers from the Criminal Investigation Branch responded around 2:00 p.m. to information received of a motionless body lying in the freight truck parking area near Mile 10 of the Philip Goldson Highway. Upon arrival, police observed the body of a male person lying face up on a wooden pallet with multiple apparent stab wounds.

The deceased was later officially identified as 26-year-old Patrick Josh Uh, a Belizean driver of Lord’s Bank Village. Police say a knife with a broken blade was found beneath the palm of his left hand at the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that a security guard at the supermarket was alerted shortly before 2:00 p.m. by an unknown male who claimed to have seen the body and then left the area.

The scene was processed by crime scene investigators, evidence was collected, and the body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where death was pronounced later that afternoon. The matter remains under investigation.
