By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk are investigating a robbery attempt involving armed men who intercepted a delivery truck near the Establo roundabout on Tuesday night.
Initial reports indicate that a gold Chevrolet minivan with no license plates followed the truck before overtaking it and blocking the roadway. Three masked men, each armed with a 9mm pistol, approached the employees and demanded money.
The driver said one of the men pointed a silver 9mm firearm at him, placing him in fear. While the attackers demanded cash, they ultimately stole only a camouflage bag containing clothing.
The suspects fled in the same van and were later pursued briefly by the victims, who lost the vehicle inside Trial Farm Village. No injuries were reported.
Police photographed the scene, canvassed the area, and continue searching for the suspects.
