Police seize cannabis and cocaine during search at McLaren residence

By Belize Live News Staff: A police search conducted at the Branch Mouth residence of Keelan McLaren, 34, led to the discovery of cannabis and cocaine concealed in a septic tank. The search took place at 10:45 a.m. on December 4, 2025.

According to police, McLaren was accompanied by four other men at the time of the operation. Officers searched the home and yard and uncovered a plastic-wrapped bundle inside the septic system. The bundle contained:

23.9 grams of cannabis

4.5 grams of cocaine

All five individuals were immediately detained pending formal charges. The drugs were processed and logged as evidence.

Authorities continue to assess the involvement of each individual as part of the ongoing investigation.
