Belize to experience warm daytime highs and cooler night temperatures

By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect a changing mix of sunshine, clouds, and showers today as a moist northeasterly airflow influences weather conditions across the country.

The day starts off mostly sunny, but by the afternoon, skies will become cloudy at times with showers and isolated thunderstorms developing, particularly over southern districts early and then shifting toward coastal and offshore areas into the afternoon hours.

Tonight brings continued instability, with central and northern Belize likely to see additional showers and thunderstorms.

At sea, boaters should expect north to northeast winds between 5 and 15 knots and seas ranging from light chop to choppy, with waves between 2 and 5 feet. Temperatures today will reach the mid-80s along the coast and upper-80s inland, cooling tonight to the mid-70s on the coast, 70 degrees inland, and the mid-60s in the hills.

The tropical weather outlook remains calm, with no development anticipated across the North Atlantic Basin for several days. Weather activity on Monday is expected to mirror today’s pattern, with showers and thunderstorms mainly affecting northern and central areas before gradually diminishing Monday night.

The tide schedule and daylight cycle remain normal as forecasted by meteorologist Michelle Augustine.
