By Belize Live News Staff : New controlled prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) take effect, November 3rd, 2025, following an announcement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise.
The updated prices show a uniform wholesale price of $4.14 per gallon across all six districts, while retail prices vary slightly between urban and rural areas. Consumers in urban areas will now pay $1.31 per pound or $5.74 per gallon, while those in rural areas will pay $1.34 per pound or $5.84 per gallon.
The Ministry said this adjustment marks a $0.17 per gallon decrease compared to the last shipment, a change attributed to a drop in the international acquisition price of LPG.
These prices are based on the standard 70:30 propane-to-butane mix, as required by national regulations.
The new pricing aims to maintain transparency and fairness in the domestic LPG market, ensuring consumers benefit from global price movements.
