By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize says a slightly moist northeasterly airflow continues to influence weather conditions across the country.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated, though there is a medium chance of a few more developing over coastal and offshore areas throughout the day and into tonight.
Over the sea, winds will blow from the north to northeast at 5 to 15 knots, producing choppy to moderate seas with waves between 3 to 6 feet.
Temperatures will reach highs of 91°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and 81°F in the hills. Lows tonight will range from 72°F inland, 77°F along the coast, and 67°F in the hills.
Tropical Storm Melissa, located about 165 miles south-southeast of Kingston, Jamaica, remains stationary with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and poses no immediate threat to Belize at this time.
The outlook for Saturday and Saturday night is for similar weather conditions to continue.
