By Belize Live News Staff: The Institute of Archaeology (NICH) has announced new opening hours for the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, one of Belize’s most visited Maya sites.
Effective Monday, October 27, 2025, the site will open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until further notice. This change applies to all days of the week, including weekends and holidays.
The Institute of Archaeology thanked all visitors, tour operators, and the general public for their cooperation and understanding as the new schedule takes effect.
Cahal Pech, located just minutes from downtown San Ignacio, remains a popular destination for locals and tourists interested in exploring Belize’s rich Maya history and enjoying panoramic views of the Belize River Valley.
