By Belize Live News Staff: Area representative for Albert and Leader of the Opposition, Tracy Taegar Panton, has issued a strong public appeal urging party members to stop actions that she says are destabilizing the UDP.
In a statement posted to Facebook, Panton called on all who “may be involved in actions that seek to destabilize the UDP and undermine the greater good of our Party” to “cease and desist.” She emphasized that the time for what she described as “immature and frivolous attempts” is over, and urged members to focus on unity and progress ahead of the party’s grand re-set set for November 30, 2025.
“We are committed to moving forward, together,” Panton stated. “Let us abide by the Party’s Constitution and move to the party’s grand re-set.” She added that those “insisting on facilitating pure madness must learn to read the room.”
Her message concluded with a pointed reminder that the people of Belize deserve better leadership and stability. “The People of Belize, who we wish to lead, to serve and offer hope, deserve nothing less,” she said. “Let the mischief and the madness STOP.”
