FAO donates computers to support digital agriculture in Belize

FAO donates computers to support digital agriculture in Belize

By Belize Live News Staff: The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has handed over laptops and accessories to the Department of Cooperatives in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise.

The donation, part of the Digital Agriculture Services Project, will boost platforms like the Belize Agriculture Price Information System (BAPIS) and the Belize Agri Academy, helping farmer organizations access training, data, and resources.

Officials say the move reflects the Government’s push to modernize agriculture and FAO’s commitment to building a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable agri-food sector for Belize’s future.
