By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City teenager is facing serious charges after a woman accused him of rape inside her home.
Nineteen year old Nathan Ochoa appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court charged with rape and harm. He was released on bail of 5,000 dollars.
Police reports say the 21 year old victim invited Ochoa into her home so he could collect belongings. She alleges he later refused to leave and forced his way into her locked bedroom.
The woman claims she was overpowered, raped, and left with visible injuries after being choked unconscious. She later reported the matter to police who arrested Ochoa.
The case is set to return to court in November 2025.
