By Belize Live News Staff: Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of the body of 38-year-old Erando Pop, a vendor from Bella Vista Village, who was reported missing earlier this week.
According to police, Pop’s wife, Edita, reported him missing around 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, after he failed to return home from a business trip to Placencia Village the day before. Pop had reportedly left his residence around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9.
His body was later found in a drain on 14th Street in Bella Vista, Toledo District. Police transported the body to the Southern Regional Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police say investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
