UDP Leader calls for unity to “Rescue Belize”

By Belize Live News Staff: On the anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye, Leader of the UDP Shyne Barrow delivered a powerful message, urging Belizeans to unite against what he describes as the failures of the current administration.

Barrow joined Tracy Panton in today’s Battle of St. George’s Caye Day Parade, drawing parallels between the unity of Baymen, enslaved Africans, and free Belizeans 227 years ago, and the urgent need for unity in today’s political landscape.

“The PUP Government has become the common enemy of Belize,” Barrow declared. He cited high cost of living, poor healthcare, corruption, and violations of civil rights as pressing issues facing the nation.

Barrow emphasized that the United Democratic Party must come together to form a strong Opposition and “rescue Belize from the punishment of the Briceño Administration.”

“Just as our ancestors united to protect Belize from being conquered, we must unite today to defend Belize from a government that has lost its way,” Barrow said.
