U.S. conservative leader Charlie Kirk dies after campus shooting

By Belize Live News Staff: Charlie Kirk, one of the most prominent conservative activists in the United States, has died after being shot during an appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He was 31.

Kirk co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 at the age of 18 and became known for his open-air debates with students on contentious issues such as climate change, gender identity, faith, and family values. His podcast and social media platforms attracted millions of followers and positioned him as a key voice on the American right.

President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death, calling him a “Legendary” figure and sending condolences to Kirk’s wife Erika and their two young children.

The shooting has sparked widespread condemnation from across the U.S. political divide, with leaders urging calm and warning against political violence.
