By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Meteorological Service is forecasting mostly fair conditions across the country today, supported by a light east to southeasterly airflow.
According to the Met Service, skies will be mostly sunny with cloudy periods. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to be isolated, though southern Belize may see a few more this afternoon and tonight. Conditions overnight are expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy with showers and thunderstorms continuing mainly in the south.
At sea, conditions remain calm for boaters and fishers with east to southeast winds at 5–15 knots and seas slight, producing waves of 1–3 feet.
Temperatures will rise to 90°F along the coast, 95°F inland, and 84°F in the hills, before cooling to nighttime lows of 84°F on the coast, 75°F inland, and 68°F in the hills.
The Tropical Weather Outlook shows no tropical cyclone development expected over the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead, a few showers and thunderstorms will develop mainly over southern Belize on Wednesday, then spread to most areas by Wednesday night.
