By Belize Live News Staff: A home invasion in Bella Vista has left a father dead and a mother in critical condition.
Around 3:00 a.m. today, armed men stormed into the home of a young family and unleashed gunfire. The father was killed instantly.
The mother was struck six times while shielding her baby, who survived the attack unharmed. She was transported to the hospital in Dangriga where she remains in critical condition.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police have not announced any arrests.
