By Belize Live News Staff: Fair weather continues to dominate Belize’s skies, with warm daytime conditions and limited rainfall expected, the National Meteorological Service reports.
Residents can expect mostly sunny skies today with occasional cloudy intervals. Tonight, skies turn partly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms, particularly affecting southern districts.
Boaters and fishermen will find favorable conditions today. Winds will blow east to southeast at 5 to 15 knots, creating light chop on the seas. Wave heights are forecast between 2 to 4 feet. Hot conditions remain inland, where highs will soar to 96°F (36°C).
Along the coast, temperatures will reach 90°F (32°C), while the hills will be cooler at 84°F (29°C). Overnight lows are forecast at 83°F (28°C) on the coast, 73°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
The tropical Atlantic remains quiet. Forecasters note that no cyclone development is expected within the next two days. Looking ahead to Sunday, skies will be cloudy at times. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop during the day, with a few more expected Sunday night, mainly over the south and some coastal communities.
Today’s high tides are at 8:42 AM and 9:33 PM, with a low tide at 3:40 PM. Tomorrow’s first low tide is expected at 3:15 AM. Sunrise today was at 5:39 AM, and sunset is at 6:02 PM. The moon rises this evening at 5:29 PM and will set at 5:27 AM tomorrow.
