By Belize Live News Staff: The Ministry of Health & Wellness (MoHW) has expressed its condolences following the death of Kaleel Nah, a young child who passed away earlier this week.
The Ministry reported that Kaleel was first taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic on September 1 after presenting with vomiting and fever. On September 2, 2025, he was admitted for treatment of an acute respiratory infection and dehydration. After showing signs of improvement, the family was advised to seek further specialist care.
In its statement, MoHW said it is reviewing the medical attention provided at the San Pedro Polyclinic, along with the events leading to the child’s death.
Officials also confirmed that the case has been classified as a coroner’s case and the Ministry awaits the results of the autopsy before offering additional details.
