By Belize Live News Staff: Police are conducting a death investigation after a man passed away on Sunday evening in the Los Lagos area near Ladyville.
Officials say the man was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when he attempted to enter his yard, fell, and sustained a head injury. Though he remained responsive for a short time, his condition worsened and emergency personnel later confirmed he had no pulse.
The body was transported to KHMH, where it was officially pronounced dead at 9:48 p.m. A post-mortem examination is pending. Police continue to gather statements as the investigation unfolds.
