Burglary at Belize City catering shop: Thieves escape with $1,050 in goods

Dolphin Drive break-in leaves business owner counting losses

By Belize Live News Staff: Belize City police are investigating a burglary that occurred between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning at a catering business located at the corner of Mahogany and Periwinkle Streets.

According to reports, sometime between 10:00 p.m. on August 26 and 6:00 a.m. on August 27, thieves gained entry through an incomplete section of the roof and stole several items, including an orange and black vacuum, a yellow and black Dewalt grinder, a case of condensed milk, a yellow and black power washer, and a purple 24-inch female beach cruiser bicycle. The stolen goods are valued at approximately $1,050.

Scenes of Crime technicians processed the scene, and investigators canvassed the area, where useful information was gathered. The case remains under investigation by police.
