Knife attack leaves two injured on Southside Belize City

By Belize Live News Staff: Belize City police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred around 7:00 a.m. today on Lavender Street.

Reports indicate that a man was entering his vehicle when he was approached from behind by a relative, who inflicted stab wounds to his upper body. A woman who intervened was also stabbed during the altercation.

Both individuals were rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment. Scenes of Crime technicians retrieved a black-handled knife with a silver blade measuring about nine inches from the scene.

Police say both victims remain in stable condition, and their injuries are not considered life-threatening. The case has been handed over to Precinct Two Relief Personnel for further investigation.
