By Belize Live News Staff: A second video of Joseph Budna has surfaced, in which he alleges that he was taken by four masked men who later identified themselves as police officers. Budna claims he was assaulted, restrained, and transported in a blue SUV, while his captors communicated with an unidentified “Kareem” and allegedly with the Commissioner of Police.
He further alleges that the same SUV had been following him the night before and that he had reported its license plate to Orange Walk police.
The police have not issued a detailed statement, only confirming an investigation. Budna’s claims have sparked public debate over due process, sovereignty, and transparency surrounding his transfer to Guatemalan authorities.
