Rhonda Slusher named acting Chargé d’affaires at U.S. Embassy Belmopan

By Belize Live News Staff: The U.S. Embassy in Belmopan is undergoing a leadership transition as Rhonda Slusher takes over as Deputy Chief of Mission and interim Chargé d’affaires. Slusher began her assignment on August 11, 2025.

She succeeds David Hodge, who departed Belize on August 16 after serving as the U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’affaires for the past seven months.

Slusher will hold the position until Katharine Beamer arrives on August 23, 2025, when she will officially assume the role of Chargé d’affaires.
